About @ElloryWells
What's up Twitter friend, I'm Ellory!
I have a unique talent for digesting difficult and complex theories and principles and converting them into clear and actionable ideas and strategies. I excel at analyzing people and processes and I enjoy reverse-engineering systems and applying the concepts I discover to help improve the lives of my clients.
I'm the kind of guy who takes stuff apart to see how it works, and then shares all of the new possibilities.
Thank you for visiting my website!
I'm so excited you're taking time out of your day to spend with me. Here is a little about me, my website and what you'll get by being here.
I was once a corporate rock star who was actually quite miserable at his job. On the surface, I had all the trophies and all the success, but on the inside, I was frustrated and angry. Now, after building my coaching business, I get to help busy, frustrated professionals develop an exit strategy from their unsatisfying day job and pursue their own business.
In 2009, I was laid off from a job. 5 years later I was fired from another one. Through these experiences, I've discovered just how important entrepreneurship is to building a life that is truly your own. I've learned a lot about building a successful business, the value of having a mastermind, why it's so important to take risks and bet on yourself, and how to be successful.
By reading my blog, you'll learn what I learn and I'll teach you how to do what I do; if you want…
On my site, you'll not only follow along on my journey, but you'll learn what I learn about building and growing a lifestyle business. You'll read tips, see videos, and listen to podcast episodes where I share the details of what I'm doing, what mistakes I'm making, and how I'm trying to make the world a better place.

The purpose of my site is to empower and equip entrepreneurs – even the ones who don't know they're entrepreneurs yet! I want to help you leave your job behind, take back control over your future, and make an impact on the world using the knowledge, skills, and passion you already have.
If you're always on social media, you can find me on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+.
However, no matter how much I use social media, I've found that email is still the best way to stay connected.
By joining my growing community, you'll receive the very best information possible about entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal development.
The Early Years:
I was born and raised in Texas, and I grew up outside. I played soccer from age four until about seventeen, at which point I started doing theater. I wished I'd found my passion for acting and performing sooner, because they came naturally to me, and I loved doing them! Acting and speaking then have helped me be a better coach and speaker today.
Getting an Education:
I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor's degree in psychology with a focus on developmental and behavioral psychology. Discovering the “why” behind behavior really interested me and I use that knowledge with my coaching clients. I've been incredibly successful in my career because I can understand the motivation people have behind their actions and know how people think.
I also did a fair amount of studying history and English, though I didn't read as much then as I do now. I've read hundreds of books on leadership, social media, entrepreneurship, and personal development. I frequently draw on these resources to help the people and companies I now work with.
The Corporate Years:
In January of 2009, I was laid off from IBM. Being unemployed for three months, I learned a lot about myself and what I wanted to do with my life. I actually started writing a fiction novel! It was during this time I really discovered how working for someone else is just as risky as working for yourself.
After getting laid off, and before starting my own businesses, I spent four years working at one of the largest IT companies in the world, Dell. It suited me well because I love technology, gadgets, cool toys, etc., and that job allowed me to talk about those kinds of things on a regular basis. I also gained exposure to all types of people at all levels of the corporate structure.
That same job brought my wife and me to Austin, Texas, where we currently live. I often write on my back porch overlooking nature. In addition to writing and coaching, I enjoy reading, watching TV and movies, playing golf and spending time with my wife.
Starting My Own Business
ElloryWells.com
I began my personal blog and as a platform to share what I've learned about entrepreneurship, building a business, personal development, and how to develop the mindset of an entrepreneur.
I'm glad I had my blog and coaching business, because, in January of 2014, I was told to leave my job. I found myself in a position where an adversary had become my boss and the work environment had become pretty hostile.
My vulnerability to the whims of a boss and the lessons I learned through that process are what make me so passionate about helping you escape your prison and live the life of your dreams.
DwizzyWid Media
My company, DwizzyWid Media, was born out of the desire to help entrepreneurs and small business owners succeed. If you’ve been searching for a way to get back to what you love doing, and wish you could find a trustworthy partner to help you grow, you’re in the right place.
When looked out at the resources available to bloggers, podcasters, and other online entrepreneurs, he didn’t find the information, tools, guidance and mentorship I wanted and needed. So, I decided to create them myself.
Through my business, I now apply my nearly 20 years of sales experience and the knowledge about managing a multi-million dollar business he gained by working at companies like Dell and IBM, to small businesses around the United States. I leverage my “corporate education” to help the do-it-yourself business owner succeed in growing a business they can be proud of.
As a result, my business grew 404% last year.
I am available for speaking engagements and personal coaching.
