Episode 35 of the Empowered Podcast features entrepreneur, author, the host of the Do Over podcast and real estate investor, Matt Theriault.
Matt will tell us the story of how he made a huge pile of money, lost it all, bagged groceries at age 34, and started all over. He's now more successful than ever and provides some excellent wisdom on how we can live the life of our dreams too.
Because of the issues surrounding our economy today, I am especially interested in informing the public of what multiple streams of income, cashflow and real estate investing can do for them, as well as helping them implement the practices. My podcasts are my outlet for this.
How Matt defines empowerment:
To transfer confidence. If I'm empowered, I have the confidence and the know-how or desire to do it.
What Matt and I talked about:
What is the best way to empower other people?
The more coaching I do, the more I see people get empowered through tangible examples.
When you decided to do what you're doing now, what types of Resistance did you face?
Definitely from the elders in my family. Ironically I actually got approval from them when I was bagging groceries for $7 an hour because it was a “real job.”
The other part of resistance was just learning how to do something new.
What are you doing today that will keep you moving forward tomorrow?
I am constantly looking for a great talent to hire.
What was the last movie you saw?
