Paul's Mission:
To heal and inspire people through the power of music.
How Paul defines empowerment:
“Empower is something that is deep within us. We have the ability to really accomplish great things in this life is we just stay optimistic and work hard.”
What Paul and I talked about:
What challenges did you face when you first started out?
“My life has been unusual because I was always given the perspective that I might not grow up or be around for very long. I was constantly faced with the questions: If I do die tomorrow, am I ready? And, what does that mean?”
When you decided to do what you're doing now, what types of Resistance did you face?
“I think you're always facing resistance. You always have opposition. I've been persecuted for my faith where I haven't been able to make certain appearances because of my faith.”
How did you face and overcome those challenges?
“You keep plowing ahead and you keep moving forward and you never give up. You have faith in your own ability to make a difference and to succeed.”
What does a typical day look like for you?
“It's trying to figure out which things to tackle. Because I now have the energy, I'm taking on more responsibility.”
How do you unwind and relax?
“My wife and I try to unplug at 7pm and go to a movie or out to dinner. It's ok to put something off until tomorrow.”
What was the last movie you saw?
“I don't really remember the last movie that I saw, but I have been watching The Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy.”
EPIC Question: What is one tip, or one piece of advice you can give people who are just starting?
“I love this quote: ‘Everybody who is somebody was a nobody at one time.' Everybody that's out there and successful – they had to work to get there. You can't just get things handed to you. If you want something, you have to make it happen yourself.”
