EP44: How to Market Yourself with Amy Schmittauer (@schmittastic)
Episode 44 of the Empowered Podcast features marketing expert, social media star, and business woman, Amy Schmittauer.
I was eager to talk to Amy and learn how she's able to put so much of her personality into her business. I've always enjoyed her YouTube videos on marketing and social media. Amy's such a cool person and I'm excited to share our chat with you!
To help businesses create a strategy to organically grow an online presence and social relationships through value creation.
How Amy defines empowerment:
I feel empowered by others. I think that that's really strong because we are so impressionable by other people.
What Amy and I talked about:
What does a typical day look like for you?
My day starts when I go to bed. I am absolutely adamant about getting 8 hours of sleep. I wake up every morning and probably start editing a video. Monday is about me and my business. Tuesday through Friday is about my clientele.
What are you doing today that will keep you moving forward tomorrow?
Talking to you.
What was the last movie you saw?
EPIC Question: What is one tip, or one piece of advice you can give people who are just starting?
If you're just starting out, I hope you're in a position to offer something for free. You need something more to offer and you need experience. If it means doing 1, 2 or 3 projects for free just so you've got something to talk about, then do it. Then from there, charge as much as you can.
