Episode 50 of the Empowered Podcast features former beauty queen turned MMA fighter, Whitney Miller.

I want to inspire people to push themselves outside of their comfort zone.
How Whitney defines empowerment:
What Whitney and I talked about:
When you decided to do what you're doing now, what types of Resistance did you face?
My mom was crying and my dad didn't want to talk to me. They just did not understand. I don't know if they will ever fully understand but they are starting to come around.
How do you unwind and relax?
I love just kinda hanging out in nature. I go for walks, not listening to crazy music because that's what is played in the gym all day.
What was the last movie you saw?
I saw one here with some of the other fighters. I saw Transformers and it was horrible.
The EPIC Final Question: What is one tip, or one piece of advice you can give people who aren't yet following their passion?
We all have this voice in our head that tells us what it is that we want to do. That is that one thing that you need to be doing. One day it's going to hit you like a 2×4 and unfortunately it might be too late by that point. Just listen to that little voice in your head and start taking those baby steps.
