EP55: Overcoming Tragedy through Exercise & the Alpha Man Project w/ Ted Ryce (@AlphaManProject)
Episode 55 of the Empowered Podcast features personal trainer and alpha man on a mission, Ted Ryce.
I had the chance to meet Ted earlier this year and was immediately impressed with his goal of making manliness cool again. Long gone are the days of James Dean and Jimmy Steward leading the alpha male generation. Ted and I talk about what it's like to me a guy in the 2000s, plus much more!
To help people transform their bodies and their lives through exercise.
How Ted defines empowerment:
Changing our mindset and realizing whatever we want to achieve, we can do. It has to do with the actions we take. Instead of blaming external circumstances for why you don't have the type of life or relationships you want to have, take responsibility. You can create your life.
An empowered person knows what they want in life, why they want it, and they know how to get it.
What Ted and I talked about:
How do you unwind and relax?
Take walks on the board walk. I do yoga.
What was the last movie you saw?
300: Rise of an Empire
The EPIC Final Question: What is one tip, or one piece of advice you can give someone who has had a recent loss in their life?
You have to allow yourself some time to grieve. You also need to get back in action as soon as possible and take care of yourself.
