EP56: How to Merge Your Passions for a Happy Life w/ Jon D Harrison (@CT_blog)
Episode 56 of the Empowered Podcast features professional blogger, leadership expert and video game guru, Jon Harrison.
Jon and I met a few years ago when he was blogging about leadership and personal development.
Recently, however, he changed topics. He realized his passion was for vintage and classic video games. He asked himself how he could mesh his two favorite things, leadership and video games, and came up with his new brand Classically Trained.
Since merging his two passions he's been featured on Lifehacker, CNN, Fast Company and more! Jon is proof you can see more success, live happier, and build an online brand, if you follow your passion.
Thank Jon for being on the show!
Jon's Mission:
To provide power ups for success in the games of work and life through ‘allegamy'
How Jon defines empowerment:
The ability to make a difference, and having the tools to do so in a way that suits the person looking to make that difference.
What Jon and I talked about:
What is the last movie you saw?
Heaven is For Real
The EPIC Final Question: What is one tip, or one piece of advice you can give people who are just starting?
You have to get out there and try stuff. The truth is we all suck at first. The very first time we do anything, we're not going to be an expert so give that up, live with it, but don't let it stop you.
