FAQ – Mastermind Frequently Asked Questions
How often does your mastermind meet?
We meet every other week at the same time on the same day. It makes things easier that way.
How many people are in your mastermind groups?
Typically 4-6, including me. You will also join a larger community of other mastermind members via our private Facebook group. This way you'll get small group attention and accountability while still having access to a broader community.
What types of people are in your mastermind groups?
They're husbands and wives; they have full-time jobs and families; they're single parents; they're into crafts, making things with their hands, taking what they've learned and turning it into a business. They're night-shift workers, traveling salesman, mom's trying to make it on their own, and dad's who want to learn about the world of online business. There is no “type” other than the type who is tired of waiting for success to come to them.
Who would be in the mastermind I'd be joining?
Your mastermind group won't be exactly like any other group. Your fellow members will be eager connect and ready to grow their online businesses. I match people from different backgrounds, industries, and niches with other goal-oriented people from around the country and world. You'll get to add people from all over to your network. I promise this will be one of the best things you do for your personal development.
How much does it cost to become a member of your mastermind?
Currently, the monthly investment is $199 for a commitment of at least six months. This price could will go up as more value is added, more connections are available to members, and more training is added for you to access. You will be LOCKED-IN to the price you sign up at – your price will never go up for as long as you're an active member.
What if I join a mastermind and don't like it?
That has never happened! However, we'd look at moving you to a different group, so you still get the information, accountability, encouragement, community, and results you're looking for. My goal is to help you succeed so we'll do what is necessary to help you out!

Where did you learn about blogging, podcasting, and online business?
When I first started blogging, I had no idea what a blog was. Actually, I thought a blog was just an online diary where teenage girls would write about boyfriends, breakups, and their latest celebrity crushes. I learned about blogging while doing it. I made lots of mistakes but kept at it. I wasn't serious about turning it into a business until I'd been writing and podcasting for about 2 years. I learned a lot from watching YouTube videos and reading WordPress-related websites. I'd make changes to my site, often breaking something, and have to learn how to fix it. I didn't go to business school, but I learned about business while working in Corporate America.
What is your background?
I'm from a small town north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in North Texas. I studied psychology at Baylor University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. I got into psychology because I wanted to learn why people act why they do. I wanted to learn how people got the way they are. After graduating, I sold investments and financial services, and then I worked at IBM and Dell where I was extremely successful at sales. Today I draw on experiences from all of these things to help me be a better mentor, coach, and salesperson.
Who do you typically work with?
I love working with aspiring entrepreneurs. I say “aspiring” because I love helping people figure things out and get moving in the right direction. I love working with people who know there's more to life than sitting in a cubicle. The people I can provide the most benefit for are the ones who aren't on step 1, but on steps 2 through 10. While I know the basics, I've found that most people need to filter through the weeds before they move too far forward. In a sense, we all need to crawl before we walk, and I love helping people walk then run.
What if I buy something from you and don't like it? Can I return it?
In most cases, absolutely. Most of the products (ebooks, audiobooks, video training, etc.) in my store have a 30-day money back guarantee. I create all of my products myself from scratch and do everything I can to provide way more value than people expect. To date, I've never had to give a refund, and I've only had one person cancel their membership before their time was up. My coaching and mastermind programs do not offer a money-back guarantee because much of the emphasis is on you, the client, and depends on the actions you take both on and off of the coaching calls. Neither program offers refunds.
Do you have any free resources I can check out before I buy something?
Absolutely! In fact, 95% of what I create I give away for free. You can listen to 40+ hours of interviews, inspiration, product reviews and recommendations via my podcast (iTunes|Stitcher|RSS) for free. You can read my blog with over 350 posts and even get emails every week with my latest posts. And, since you asked, most of my clients read my blog or listened to my podcast before hiring me, so you're more than welcome to consume all the free content and resources you want! I also suggest you sign up for my emails because I send out info via email that I don't share anywhere else. Plus, if you need resources or want to know the tools I use, check out my resources page.
Do you have any referrals or testimonials I can check out before hiring you?
Two things I love about owning my own business are A:) helping people achieve results, and B:) getting great feedback. The feedback I've received isn't all compiled and located on a single page; that would give you no context. The reviews I've received and the feedback I've gotten, in most cases, can be found on the page for each product. A good example is what people have said about my mastermind and my bestselling ebook for podcasters.

How can I stay connected with what you're doing?
While there are several ways you can connect with me, there is one way that is the absolute best – email. You can sign up at this link to get emails, tips, and updates from me. You can also follow me on Twitter and connect with me on Facebook and LinkedIn.
Can you come and speak at my event or to my team?
