How to Get the Most Out of Your Mastermind

How to Get the Most Out of Your Mastermind

We are all busy, and entrepreneurs are busier than almost everyone else. So, if you're considering joining a mastermind group, you should also be considering how you can get the most out of your mastermind time.

How to Get the Most Out of Your Mastermind

The people who get the most out of their Catalyst Mastermind experience are the ones who put the most into it. I know, you’ve probably heard that line before, but it’s true.

As with anything you do, if you show up with excitement, engage with your fellow members, and make a connection with them, not only will your enjoyment go up, but you’ll get more traction with your business as well.

For the mastermind groups I host, I include access to a private Facebook group where they can connect between meetings. This group is exclusive to my current and past coaching and mastermind clients, no one else. While the individual masterminds are usually four to six people, the Facebook group enables members to connect with a larger community of entrepreneurs in a more casual setting as well. I also suggest you interact with the Facebook group.

While my mastermind meetings are scheduled every other week and only last about an hour, the Facebook group is (almost) 24/7.

By engaging with entrepreneurs both inside and outside of your mastermind, you’ll build a network of entrepreneurs around the world who will support and encourage you on your journey.

6 (More) Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Mastermind

NOTE: I think these tips are universal and are key to maximizing your time in any group setting.

  • Speak up: share your successes and failures
  • Interact: leave comments in groups (ie Facebook), ask for help, share fun things
  • Show up: be physically and mentally present for each meeting and be focused; eliminate distractions
  • Connect: engage with your fellow members outside of your designated meeting time
  • Ask: don’t be afraid to ask for help, accountability, or even for a virtual hug or lunch
  • Give: have something to offer; maybe it’s an opinion, or it could be expert advice

As I said, the people who get the most from their masterminds, and the guys and girls who find the most value, are the ones who fully commit to the experience. They’re the ones who connect with other members outside of the bi-weekly meetings, and they get to know one another. They build connections that go beyond business and they become friends.

Summary

Everyone who works with me and puts in the effort gets a return on their investment. I WANT people to get the most out of their mastermind experience, and I WANT people to get amazing results (like these) – that's my goal. I think a successful client is the best business card there is, and that’s my hope for you – to be successful.

I hope all of my clients develop life-long friendships, business partners, advisors, joint venture partners, clients and colleagues with the other entrepreneurs they meet.
