What If You Could Live a Life Without Fear?
Have you ever thought about fear? Have you ever wondered where it comes from or what kind of impact it was having on your life?
Fear exists only in your mind and thankfully, your mind is something that you can control.
Later this year, I'll be posting a four-part series on the types of fears: Real, Imagined, Avoidable, and Unavoidable.
Before I share my series on The 4 Types of Fears, I wanted to ask you,
What if you could live a life without fear?
When it comes to fears, we each have them. The crappy truth is, we can never really live without fear.
Instead of sharing my own words, I thought I'd offer up the insights of philosophers, comedians, a President and a poet. For your enjoyment, here are some wise and empowering quotes regarding fear:
So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” – Matthew 6:34
There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure. – Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
Do one thing every day that scares you. – Eleanor Roosevelt
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear. – Meg Cabot
Bran thought about it. ‘Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?' ‘That is the only time a man can be brave,' his father told him. – George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free. – Jim Morrison
We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light. – Plato
Men go to far greater lengths to avoid what they fear than to obtain what they desire. – Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code
The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. – Franklin D. Roosevelt
It's the questions we can't answer that teach us the most. They teach us how to think. If you give a man an answer, all he gains is a little fact. But give him a question and he'll look for his own answers. – Patrick Rothfuss, The Wise Man's Fear
He who has overcome his fears will truly be free. – Aristotle
Most people do not really want freedom, because freedom involves responsibility, and most people are frightened of responsibility. – Sigmund Freud
She had blue skin, And so did he. He kept it hid / And so did she. They searched for blue / Their whole life through, Then passed right by- / And never knew. – Shel Silverstein, Every Thing on It
It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live. – Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
I hope you enjoyed wise words regarding fear! Before you go, I have a favor to ask.

“We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light. – Plato” Fear of failure can be a strong fear to wrestle with. What others will think, what will happen to me…
Thanks for posting this topic Ellory. I look forward to seeing your series on types of fears.
I think fear of the opinion of others is a HUGE fear. I know it is for me. Great point and thank you for sharing!
Oh, feel free to share something in the comment box up there. Give it a few hours and I won’t know it’s you if you’re wanting to stay anonymous =)
