What If We Could?

What If We Could?

Today's What If We Could features a fantastic TED talk with Mark Rayburn, guitar player and keynote speaker. This is definitely one you do not want to miss!

If you're not familiar with TED, they're an organization devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading.” If you are familiar with TED, you know just how amazing and even life changing their Talks can be. Covering the ideas of “Technology, Entertainment, Design” there is no limit to the questions they can ask, the ideas they can spread, or the lives they can change.

What If Wednesday

Jared Easley of StarveTheDoubts.com shared this Rayburn's TED Talk with me. What you'll see, in addition to some AMAZING guitar playing, is Mike Rayburn asking, “What if I could?” Additionally,

What if we could find creative ways to deal with our challenges in the moment?

The whole point of life is to get beyond what we have done before. Don't limit yourself to what you see before you, or what you think you can be accomplished. Dream big. Nothing great has been achieved by thinking small. (Click to Tweet that!) You have to watch this video, it's that good. But one last quote from Mike Rayburn that I'll leave you with:

Don't start with what's possible. Start with what's cool, what's right, what's the dream-case scenario.

Great TED talk. I’m a musician, so this is totally cool. What if I could play like that? I love the idea of thinking is questioning.

    • Ellory Wells says:

My favorite part, and one of the reasons why I chose to share this video, is how he found ways of saying “no” to his audience. Instead of saying, “I don’t know that song” he’d sing the chorus and then make up a funny tune to finish it off.

Honestly, that ability probably served him better than singing the actual song itself, and is what has led to his success.

Dan, What if you could play like that? What will you do WHEN you can play like that? =)

Great video Ellory. Thank you for sharing it with us. When we think big and start taking action on our dreams anything is possible.
